Steve and I  went to the most wonderful event last week, Music Madness at Cotuit Center for the Arts. Its just a few miles down the road from our B&B on Route 28.  It will be going on until April 2nd and includes a line-up of 12 exciting and varied concerts. Performances range from American folk music to Sudanese folk music, Blues to Broadway, Classical to Cabaret and Jazz.  If you’re coming to stay at the inn, this is a must-do.

Chef Feufeu, at Bleu, in Mashpee Commons is continuing their 3 course prix fixe dinner Sunday through Thursday from 5-7 PM for $25.00.  Authentic French bistro cooking with a romantic ambiance, one of our favorites, reminds us of our vacation in the Loire Valley.

If you can include it, have a Sunday brunch at Coonamessett inn. They serve a buffet of fabulous food with great service in an inn atmosphere where you are the most pampered guest for only $23.95 a person. We didn’t need it, but noticed a completely gluten-free menu for those that do. The gluten-free menu is served seven days a week.

The lawn is back.  After the snowiest winter since we started coming to the Cape, two weeks of clear weather and snow melting rain has washed away most of the snow.  Temperatures in the forties and fifties this week will rival a California winter. I’m ready for spring.  We have openings for President’s weekend and then are booked until mid March.  We are getting lots of calls for the summer season. I guess a bad winter makes us all long for the beach. I can’t wait to get my kayak back in the water and look forward to sailing Ashumet Pond on our catamaran. Steve checked the beach and our path yesterday and all looks good. Clara was disappointed that it’s still too cold for the frogs, her favorite summer play things.

Many of the restaurants are offering 3 course dinners for $25.  An American Girl Store opened at Mashpee Commons.  It’s a great time to visit, before the masses return for the season.
