October Events on Cape cod

Looking into october, we’re excited about three coming events: The annual Yarmouth Seaside Festival on October 8-10 (highlights include Main Stage music, a petting zoo, rides, fireworks, a sand sculpture contest and a road race), the Wellfleet Oyster Fest on October 15-16 (a two-day street party celebrating the town’s famous oysters, clams and shell fishing traditions with shucking contests, food vendors, live music and more), and Halloween in Provincetown October 28-31 (featuring haunted tours, masquerade ball, spooky-themed events and more). Falmouth, which is closer, also has a great parade.

Jazz Fest Coming Next weekend in Falmouth

This weekend is Jazzfest. We can’t wait. Still have openings here. please join us.

Jazz Stroll, Friday, September 30th, 6 to 9:30 PM. Stroll starts at Queen’s Buyway and moves up Main Street to Peg Noonan Park. Music in 11 shops and restaurants. Locations, Performers and Times at jazzfestfalmouth.org. Free.

Jazz Concert, Saturday, October 1, 7:30 PM at Highfield Theater, 58 Highfield Drive. Doors open at 6 for music by the Russ Wilcox Group and BBQ by Chef Anthony. Tickets $30 ($35 at the door) can be purchased on the website, Eight Cousins, Market Street Bookshop in Mashpee and in Peg Noonan Park on Friday night.

Music at Midday, Sunday, October 2, 11 AM to 1 PM(or so). Jazz Brunches at restaurants around town. Locations and musicians can be found on the website. But think Nimrod, Quick’s Hole, Coffee O2, The Beach House, Persy’s

Introducing our new equestrian packages! Are you travelling with your horse? We’ve made a new connection with Smithfield Farm, located just 3 miles from the inn. We’ve arranged for a few different packages available when you stay at the inn, whether you bring the horses, or you’d like to ride some while staying here!
Horse Boarding

For two nights in the Carriage Suite on the Cape, plus horse lodging at Smithfield Farm, it’s only $500, or $550 for two horses (Oct 15 – May 20). This includes a vacation stall and turnout, while you provide stall cleaning, hay & grain. For an additional $50, (per horse) the farm will provide the stall cleaning, hay & grain. Add $100 to the initial price May 20 – Oct 15.
Romantic Trail Ride Package

This package includes two nights at the inn in the Carriage Suite on the Cape, and a guided two hour trail ride at the Crane Preserve. Choose from a picnic lunch for two or evening hors d’ouerves, Oct 15 – May 20: $760, May 20 – Oct 15: $860.
Riding Lesson, then A Romantic Trail Ride

Need a little instruction before you get up on a horse? No problem! This package includes two nights at the inn in the Carriage Suite on the Cape, a half-hour riding lesson, and a one hour romantic trail ride, including lunch or evening hors d’ouerves. Oct 15 – May 20: $740, May 20 – Oct 15: $840.
Riding Lessons

Just want some lessons? Two nights at the inn in the Carriage Suite on the Cape, plus a private, one hour lesson for one, Oct 15 – May 20: $500, May 20 – Oct 15: $600. Semi-private lesson for two: Oct 15 – May 20: $550, May 20 – Oct 15: $650.

All these packages can be arranged with a Family Suite booking as well; please discuss prices and availability with the innkeeper.
